The Insurance Tax Conference is a 501(c) (6) not-for-profit organization. The ITC was founded in 1972 on the premise that it is important for insurance tax professionals to present a united front to the Internal Revenue Service on tax issues of importance to the insurance industry. The ITC provides a forum for the presentation and discussion of these and other issues important to the insurance industry by the most experienced insurance tax professionals and insurance tax experts.

The purposes of the Association are:

• To provide access to effective, quality information and education targeted to insurance tax professionals with respect to state, federal and international insurance industry products, legislation, and regulation.
• To provide networking and service resources that assist and add value to member firms in their course of doing business.

The ITC is headquartered in Chicago, IL.
